I guess this has to be the fact that the site is not that huge on content at the moment – it’s getting there slowly though.

With four choices of Flash streaming and various download options, your resolutions are not an issue – there is a quality version of each movie to suit everyone. And the quality of the filming and editing is fine too. The guys are tops in the alternative department, and the site is very well designed.

There is a reasonable amount of content here so far, and more coming along, so it’s not a bad content count. The movies are a decent length, the galleries have around 60 pics per set, and there are 60 or so varied models already featured at the site.

Not only is the content all exclusive here but the models are not your average sort. These are varied and alternative guys and it is this fact that makes the site more original than most.

You are able to get behind the scenes with some outtakes and bloopers in your extras area, and this is still exclusive content. And so are the various wallpapers for your computer that you are able to download and keep.

This site has a good design team behind it and this means that links are clear, the text is readable, and there is a nice alternative feel to everything. It also means that navigation is not an issue – there was no getting misled or lost.

The transfer rate was fine, though with some of the larger files you will be better off on a faster connection.
Value: 7/10
You pay a standard monthly fee here, maybe a little over the average for the amount of content, but this fee reduces after your first month. There is an alternative sign up fee/time period to check out too. But the exclusivity brings you the value.

The things that really appeals about Alternadudes are the alternative dudes themselves. This isn't your standard kind of porn site - ok, so the sex may be standard, but it’s hard to make it anything but. But the guys who you see in solo jerk-offs and in hardcore humping scenes, erotic moments, chats and encounters, are what make the difference.
But a site needs more than just a different kind of model to make it work, and here this site also gets things right. You can easily find your way around, which is a big consideration, there is no getting lost and nothing misleads you. The site’s pages are well designed and there is an atmosphere to everything which helps bring on the erotica. And then you get good viewing choices for your videos, which is another consideration.
You will find four resolutions of Flash to stream the scenes in, so even if you are on a slow connection you shouldn’t have a problem there. You can also download in a couple of formats, including an HD WMV version, and ones suitable for iPods and the like. All the instructions are there and it’s a simple process; though for some of the larger files, the faster your connection the better of course.

when you do get your movies and start viewing you will find that they have been well shot, edited and presented. You may catch some chat before the action starts, or you may be straight in to the suck and fuck fest that the action scenes carry. The solo jerks are nice and atmospheric and you get plenty of time to check out your indie, punk, Emo and Goth guys at your leisure. You may find shaven headed street-guys, skater-boys and the like in some scenes, and then smooth twinky types with piercings and spiky hair in the next. Again, another driving force behind the site is the variety of the alternative guys they employ as models.
You may also find that some of the accompanying screen cap galleries have some blurred images – nothing too bad, and certainly not a reason to avoid viewing the galleries of 60 or so pics each. These are natural ‘in action’ shots and are fine and fun to downloads and keep.
Having
been through your main content you can then check out the extras and these, too, are exclusive. You have some bloopers from the making of the films, some backstage footage and a collection of sexy wallpapers to grab and keep. It’s not a huge extras section, but it is an original one. There are plenty of links to help and support if needed, and the updates are featured back on your home page. So, although Alternadudes may be alternative in its choice of models, it keeps to the industry standards in terms of navigation and design, and that makes for a good backbone to a good, but different site.
